High schools seniors in the Diamond area are invited to apply for the 14th annual George Washington Carver Scholarship offered in partnership by the Carver Birthplace Association and the George Washington Carver National Monument.   The deadline for submission for the one-time $1,000 award is March 11, 2016.

The Carver Birthplace Association (CBA), in conjunction with the George Washington Carver National Monument, sponsors the 14th annual George Washington Carver Scholarship. The scholarship is a onetime award in the amount of $1,000 for the 2016-2017 academic year. It will be awarded to a local graduating high school senior or local home-school student receiving a GED certificate. . .

Scholarship applications may be obtained from the Visitor Center at the George Washington Carver National Monument at 5646 Carver Road or from local high school guidance counselors (beginning Feb. 12). Applications must be submitted to the park by March 11. Source: Neosho Daily News
